Whether left with the imprint of rough-hewn boards or smoothed slats, board-formed concrete offers a distinct surface that can make a space or a structure. We’ve rounded up six stunning examples from around the world that are sure to leave an impression. Architects Fernanda Canales and Claudia Rodriguez wound a series of concrete cubes around a lush, tree-scattered site to create this holiday home for a young family in the State of Mexico.

Located in downtown Tokyo, Pasona HQ is a nine story high, 215,000 square foot corporate office building for a Japanese recruitment company, Pasona Group. Instead of building a new structure from ground up, an existing 50 years old building was renovated, keeping its building envelope and superstructure. The project consists of a double-skin green facade, offices, an auditorium, cafeterias, a rooftop garden and most notably, urban farming facilities integrated within the building.

Portapivot was contacted by Jos Heylen, the interior subcontractor selected by Crepain Binst Architure, for a glass pivoting door solution to be installed in between the Dark Grey colored office partitions they installed.
