I really wanted a Stiffee but settled for a Marin ‘hardcore’ hard tail instead which was brilliant. That had dukes I think which I swapped for a set of Mx comps which I thought were brilliant unlike the dukes. There’s a What MTB (I think) issue from around this time that had a double spread of hardtail frames, Stiffee, cotic soil, DMR switchback, etc.
