Reforms to English Arbitration Act 1996 to enter into force on 1 August 2025

The Arbitration Act 2025 (the 2025 Act) introduces limited reforms to the Arbitration Act 1996 (the 1996 Act), with the aim of enhancing the efficiency and user experience of arbitrating disputes in London. The Law Commission began a consultation into the 1996 Act early in 2022 and produced its proposals for limited reforms in September 2023.
