1 Background and Related Work Polar oceans such as the Southern Ocean are highly important for global ocean circulation and are critical regions for climate and biogeochemical cycling (Rintoul 2018). The lack of comprehensive and high-resolution data on oceanic processes in polar regions limits our understanding of ocean dynamics and their global implication for sea level rise, weather patterns, and climate change.

Abstract Proteomic analyses of the phagosome has significantly improved our understanding of the proteins which contribute to critical phagosome functions such as apoptotic cell clearance and microbial killing. However, previous methods of isolating phagosomes for proteomic analysis have relied on cell fractionation with some intrinsic limitations.

Abstract Tuberculosis (TB), caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), is the leading cause of infectious disease death and lacks a vaccine capable of protecting adults from pulmonary TB. Studies have shown that Mtb uses a variety of mechanisms to evade host immunity.
