Benjamin Snyder’s Biography

Ben earned a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in May 2014.

His work has appeared in a variety of publications both online and in print, including Backchannel, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, The Baltimore Sun, Tennis Magazine, CNN.com, Yahoo.com, AOL.com, and Entrepreneur.com. He has also written for the websites of numerous tennis tournaments, including for the U.S. Open, Wimbledon, and the Western & Southern Open.

In graduate school at Columbia, he took classes in feature writing, book writing, investigative reporting and multimedia skills. Ben graduated from Goucher College with degrees in American studies and communications. There, he served as editor of his college newspaper and as a four-year letter winner on the Men's Varsity Tennis Team. Ben studied abroad at the University of Oxford during his junior year.

Ben also has experience in non-profit communications, having worked for a year at the United States Tennis Association as a communications coordinator during his time at Columbia.
