1. Introduction Service learning has become a pivotal educational approach in engineering schools, merging academic instruction with meaningful community service to enhance students’ professional skills and social engagement. This practice, based on project-based learning, aims to combine an academic project with a commitment to society. The educational objective of service learning is threefold: (i) developing academic skills; (ii) civic learning; and (iii) personal development.
