What was your first job as a journalist?

Windpower Monthly, as Midwest correspondent, circa 1998.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Of course. I am of a certain age.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

For me, it means explaining issues that are important and complicated, so anyone can understand them.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My passage to India in 2016, trying to make sense of their politics, society, and energy system.
