There are endless rumours of Apple launching a folding iPhone later this year, I expect an update from Samsung in the coming weeks, Honor has internationally launched the Magic V6 and a slew of other foldables are set to release. With his transition to the role of executive chairman scheduled for 1 September 2026, this may be his final official keynote as CEO.

As has become customary, Google presented some information about the latest Android updates ahead of its annual Google I/O event on 19 May. Unsurprisingly, AI was a central part of the story. Google kicked off the event talking about how Android is transitioned from being an “operating system” to an “intelligence system”.
