1 Introduction Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder characterized by obsessions and compulsions with a lifetime prevalence of 1%–3% in the population (Karno et al. 1988; Mahjani et al. 2021). Studies with large sample sizes have demonstrated that obsessions and compulsions can be categorized into three to six factors (Bloch et al. 2008; Mataix-Cols et al. 2005).
