His wife told Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents that Paktiawal required an inhaler to breathe. She said officers did not take the inhaler and did not allow her to provide it later.

In May, Afghan Special Mission Wing pilot and U.S. asylee Wahidullah Wahdat learned that his wife was killed in a gunfight outside a money exchange in Kabul. The tragedy has now left Wahdat’s children, all under the age of 13, without parents inside Afghanistan. News of his wife’s death and Wahdat’s ties to the former Afghan military have run rampant on social media. American benefactors from the Afghan American Development Group are attempting to keep Wahdat’s children safe.

ADL audit finds antisemitic assaults soaring

I have raised the alarm about the ADL’s findings on antisemitism since the organization’s 2019 audit, when ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt referred to the 2,107 incidents, including 61 assaults, as a “rising tide of hatred.” Over the last six years, that tide has become a tsunami. Unfortunately, 2026 is already showing signs of increasing threat.
