What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a freelance journalist/stringer for about two years in and around San Diego, but my first station was at KUSI-TV.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email mainly.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Social media mainly, but tips from viewers via phone, text, email and (yes!) even snail mail, will work!

Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist to be able to help the public through my reporting.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Uncovering the details regarding US Customs and Border Protection tracking journalists and immigration advocated at the border.
