How is social media changing news?
Social media has become a convenient source for staying updated on current events, yet it's also a breeding ground for misinformation. Individuals who share information without verifying its accuracy have caused harm to many. Nevertheless, when harnessed responsibly, social media can be a powerful tool for shaping public opinion. Additionally, it has led to a shift in news consumption, with users preferring concise formats like short videos or well-crafted single-image posts.
What's your favorite social network?
I find that Twitter and Instagram both offer unique and engaging social experiences that I appreciate. Twitter allows me to stay updated with real-time news and connect with a diverse range of individuals through concise and thought-provoking posts. On the other hand, Instagram provides a visually appealing platform where I can share and explore captivating photos and videos, allowing for creative expression and inspiration. So, if I were to pick a favorite social network, I would have to say that I enjoy spending time on both Twitter and Instagram, each for their distinct qualities and the connections they enable.
Why did you become a journalist?
I chose a career in tech journalism because I have a passion for making technology accessible to the general audience. Whether it involves hardware or software, I find satisfaction in breaking down complex concepts into understandable terms. Additionally, I particularly enjoy creating how-to guides as they give me the opportunity to showcase my research abilities.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
When I'm not busy typing on mechanical keyboards, you may find me strumming strings or engaged in sports activities. Furthermore, as the evening draws near, you might come across my inspirational quotes appearing on your Instagram timeline.
