Now that we know Quavo will be performing at Duke on April 22, here’s some other Duke and Durham arts events to pregame LDOC throughout the semester’s final leg. On Monday, attend a linocut printmaking class taught by Sean Graham, where attendees can carve their own designs and create new dorm room or apartment decor. Or, if you’re more into painting, sign up for Tuesday’s “Mindful Watercolor” class.

Each spring, as the season comes into full bloom, Durham steps into the spotlight of the documentary world. From April 16 to April 19, over 10,000 attendees will again gather in downtown Durham for the 28th edition of the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. This year’s lineup features 49 films hailing from 31 countries that celebrate nuanced, multicultural perspectives and delve into intimate personal connections.

Following another wave of false summer, here are some arts events on campus to help you cope with the colder weather ahead. Duke Arts Create hosts three workshops this week. Tuesday sees “Sculpture and Meditation” taught by instructor Meg Stein. This workshop will combine mindfulness and meditation with sculpting and shaping. With no experience needed, the workshop hopes that participants will leave the workshop feeling more connected with themselves.
