Role of intermittent hypoxia in the dysregulation of serum uric acid levels in non-obese adults with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
Abstract This study investigated the association between serum uric acid (SUA) and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and identified risk factors for elevated SUA in non-obese patients. Consecutive non-obese patients referred to the sleep center for suspected OSAS were included. Correlation, multiple linear regression, multivariable logistic regression, and ROC analyses were performed. A total of 291 participants were included.
