Hal Newman is the founder and curator of The Last Ambulance/La Dernière Ambulance. It is a collaborative public service journalism project focused on the crisis in emergency prehospital care (EMS) systems. Newman is a senior subject matter expert on EMS, firefighting, emergency management. Newman has a BA in Communications from Bethany College in West Virginia.

— 1 min read La Dernière Ambulance | LDA Vendredi, l’Assemblée nationale ajournera ses travaux pour l’été. À moins d’un revirement de dernière minute, les paramédics du Québec franchiront ce cap avec une convention collective échue depuis 1155 jours. Une entente avant l’ajournement était possible. Elle aurait permis d’envoyer un signal clair à une profession qui peine à recruter, à retenir ses membres et à convaincre une nouvelle génération d’y faire carrière.
