June 11, 2026, 10:52 a.m. ET After coming as close as possible two years ago, Howell senior Danny Hampton was the leading hitter in Livingston County for the first time in his four-year career. Hampton did so by hitting .500, going 53-for-106, to become the first county player to hit at least .500 since Howell’s Eric Henderson in 2011. In 2024, Hampton hit .443 to finish second by .001 to Pinckney’s Nolan Carruthers. Hampton was fourth at .427 last year and 10th at .344 as a freshman.

Three Livingston County boys lacrosse players make all-state Original

Three Livingston County boys lacrosse players who were second-team all-state selections last season have moved up to the first team this year. Junior goalie Nate Anderer and senior midfielder Clayton Penzien of Hartland, along with junior attack Joey Skoczylas of Brighton are the only first-teamers as chosen by the Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association. Anderer and Skoczylas were among Michigan’s 21 All-America selections.
