What does it mean to be a journalist?

It's been my life's work since I was a paper boy back in 1978. It's all I've ever wanted to do.

Be different. Break News. Provide something others are not.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Exercising and eating. A vicious cycle, I know.

Follow stories, not publications.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That Sports Journalists aren't true journalists. The opposite is true. There is finality and fact in sports you get nowhere else.
