With a 16-car consist stretched out across Norfolk Southern's Rockville Bridge over the Susquehanna River five miles north of Harrisburg, Pa., on July 7, 2026, Union Pacific Big Boy 4-8-8-4 No. 4014 approaches Enola Yard, its stopover point for the night. Opened in 1902 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the 48-arch, 3,860-foot-long landmark is often reported to be the longest stone-arch railroad bridge in the world. The train is scheduled to run from Enola to Altoona, Pa., today. Dan Cupper
