The Truth About Hell
Few topics spark stronger reactions than the subject of hell. Throughout history, people have debated whether it exists, what it is like, and whether it is eternal. Today, many opinions about hell are shaped more by personal feelings, cultural ideas, or popular philosophy than by the Bible itself. Some believe hell cannot exist because God is loving. Others think it is only temporary. Still others claim people already experience “hell on earth,” making a future hell unnecessary.
Are You Yielding to Demons?
Evil rarely forces its way into a life; more often, it’s invited through the choices we make and the desires we entertain. Scripture teaches that temptation begins within us—long before the devil ever takes advantage of it. James 1:14 reminds us that “each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.” Sin starts small, as a thought or an indulgence, but once entertained, it grows until it brings death.
Mocking God Brings Destruction
In 1979, I purchased a new home, and then hired a contractor to install the hardscape, which would cost $25,000. The contractor came over with an agreement and I signed it. His foot was bandaged, and he was on crutches. I asked why. He said he was in a motorcycle accident, and his foot was crushed and would never function again. I began to tell him about the Lord, and explained that God could heal his foot if he believed.
Demons In Hell - Charisma Magazine Online
God gave me a vision that I wrote about in my book, 23 Minutes in Hell. I was placed in a prison cell and I knew I was not alone. I saw two enormous beasts, unlike anything I had ever seen before. I saw demons in hell that the Bible refers to as tormentors, destroyers, evil angels and the host of the high ones. The creatures weren’t animals, but they weren’t human, either. Everything I described in my book is outlined in the Bible and the verses are all listed in my book.

Rescued From the Pit
Whenever we face trials and difficulties, the devil will make us feel as though all hope is gone. He will try to convince us that the darkness will never lift, and there is no way out of this mess. Don’t entertain those negative, evil thoughts! The Bible instructs us to trust in the Lord for His rescue, His wisdom and His help. No matter what we face, Jesus promised to never leave us nor forsake us. There is always hope when we put our trust in God.
Can Anger Send a Person to Hell?
Why does Jesus warn us that anger can put us in danger of hell fire? Let’s look at what He said in Matthew 5:21. “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” Breaking News.
Why Hell is Necessary
There must be a place of punishment for sin. God’s nature is holy and righteous. He is not only love but He also cannot tolerate sin. The Bible says that He is a God whose anger burns against the wicked and disobedient. We may not understand that our sin is exceedingly sinful to God nevertheless our ignorance of that fact doesn’t nullify God carrying out His justice. Heaven is a perfect place without sin, and God cannot allow sinful man into heaven.
The Worst Part of Hell
During the 23 Minutes in Hell vision I was given by God, I understood while in hell that I was separated from God, and from all good in this life forever. I understood I would never escape, and I would be alone in agony for all eternity. I experienced what it’s like to be utterly hopeless because there is absolutely no ray of hope for the people who enter hell’s gates.
Confronted by Their Conscience
When we share the way of salvation with people who don’t know Jesus, they often respond with, ‘You’re trying to shove your beliefs down my throat.’ Why is this a common response from an unbeliever? It can only be that they know they are guilty before their Creator. Sharing the way of salvation with someone is actually the most loving thing a person can do.
The Most Neglected Part of the Body
There is a very small member in our body that boasts great things, yet it is an uncontrolled evil. Why is this small member so important, and why can it be considered evil? Man can tame every creature on the earth, but cannot tame or control the tongue. It is full of poison. We can bless others by what we say, or we can curse others by what we say. We actually speak death or life out of our own mouths.
Unforgiveness: A Deadly Poison
Have you ever said, “I can never forgive that person because of what they have done to me?” Many of us have. We’ve either uttered those words or held on to those thoughts. When we entertain those deadly thoughts, we forget how much Jesus Christ has forgiven us. If we understood the seriousness of our unforgiveness, we would learn to be quick to forgive others. Eventually, it will cause physical harm to our bodies, pollute our soul and possibly jeopardize our eternal destination.
Do Animals Prove God Exists?
There are many ways to prove God’s existence, but today, let’s draw our attention to the animal kingdom, of which insects are a part. There are so many species we could highlight, and all have exceptional characteristics. Many possess masterfully designed defense systems, the ability to thrive in hostile environments, precise navigation abilities and incredible complexities within their bodies. The evidence of design is overwhelming! The honeybee is just one example.
Are the Gates of Hell Real?
In the vision God gave to me about hell, I saw prison cells in a place that was like a dungeon. There were rough-hewn stone walls with gates and bars. The Bible indicates that there are actual gates at the entrance of hell. In addition, Scripture also says there are bars in hell. Gates and bars would be indicative of a prison, and hell is just that. Why does this matter? Because hell is an eternal prison with no escape. People need to understand that. The gates reflect its permanency.
My 23 Minutes in Hell: 3 People I Thought About
During the “23 Minutes in Hell” vision from God, I thought of only three people, and each one was significant. The first person I thought of was my wife. I knew she was on the surface of the earth, and I was far below. I would never see her again and would never even have the satisfaction of saying goodbye. To have no finality with your loved ones is extremely sorrowful, beyond what mere words can describe. She would never even know I still existed in a place of torment. Breaking News.
How God’s Commands Protect Us
When God gives us a command, it’s for our good, not our harm. He intends it to protect us. This includes protection of our thoughts, our emotions, our conscience and yes, our physical body. God’s commands can serve as warnings for our lives. God commands, “You shall not commit adultery,” (Exod. 20:14, NKJV). Jesus set the standard when He said, “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart,” (Matt. 5:28).

Spiritual Crisis Deepens as 'Demon Pronouns' Trend Spreads
A concerning trend is rising among younger generations as some begin to adopt so-called “demon pronouns,” aligning themselves with identities rooted in darkness. For Christians, this signals something far more sinister than just a cultural curiosity—it’s a call to spiritual arms. This trend continued gaining traction when a viral video featuring two young people, Jasper and Liana, where Liana shares that they use “they/demon” pronouns.
Have You Lost Sight of Your God-Given Destiny?
Have you been fighting a battle so big that you have lost sight of the destiny God has for you? Recently, we experienced the biblical feast of Rosh Hashanah, which demonstrates and authenticates the promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 22:17 (NASB): “Your seed shall possess the gates of their enemies.” The akedah (Hebrew), also known as the “binding” of Isaac, was one of the first Rosh Hashanah-like events in the Bible.

How False Hope Has Paved the Way for the Antichrist
Of all the exhortations in the Word of God that Paul is inspired to write, there is one which should be precious to every saint in these closing days of the church age. He says in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.“ Although the word “hope” is not used in the passage above, it is clear that in order to watch, to stand, to be brave and strong, we must have hope.
When Was Hell Prepared?
Hell was prepared, not created, as some people might believe.
What Is Spiritual Warfare?
Christians are always engaged in spiritual warfare. It’s a personal fight of faith and a battle that goes on in our own minds. We need to recognize and acknowledge that we have a real enemy. Too many Christians are not aware of this fact; therefore, there is no resistance of the devil. There are demonic spirits watching us, waiting to find an entrance into our lives to harm and destroy us.
The Transformative Power of the Bible on Mental Health
Dr. George Barna, in a recent interview with CBN’s Billy Hallowell, sheds light on the correlation between mental health challenges and an individual’s worldview. Barna’s latest research from the American Worldview Inventory 2024 shows that a biblical worldview may offer relief to those struggling with mental health issues like anxiety, depression and fear. “Our best estimates show that about one out of every four adults has a diagnosable mental illness,” Barna says.
Alexander Pagani: The 6 Keys for Generational Victory
During the powerful Breakers Conference, Alexander Pagani gave a tremendous word to the audience about Elisha, King Joash and how we can see Christ’s victory continue from one generation to the next. “I’m here to tell you, you already have the victory,” Pagani says. “The prophetic word today is, ‘shoot, for the Lord has given the enemies into your hands.'” The first point Pagani makes is that a searching of the heart and wise mentorship is necessary for victory. Why Did God Let My Loved One Die?
Many people become angry and turn away from God when a loved one dies. They ask, “Why did God allow this to happen?” Essentially, they are saying that God could have stopped it but He chose not to. This response is flawed. This thinking stems from religious tradition that has infiltrated the minds of billions of people. It’s the belief that God is in control of everything, no matter what happens. Is that true? Was God in control of what you ate today? Was He controlling what clothes you chose to wear?

Children: Don't Trust Your Parents
During Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles), we invite the families of our synagogue to camp out in remembrance of the time when Israel lived in tabernacles in the wilderness. During the week-long celebration, we play games, do crafts and sing around the campfire. This is one of my favorite times of the year as a rabbi because we get to spend so much time together as a community and build positive relationships with one another.
Never Ashamed - Charisma Magazine Online
“They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed” (Ps. 34:5, NASB 1995). David says, “They looked.” But who looked, and who are “they”? The answer is God’s children, His saints, those who have been set apart unto Him and whom He has chosen out of the world to be His.
Are There People in Hell Today?
Many Christians and even pastors don’t believe anyone is in hell right now. They believe the people who have died without faith in Jesus Christ are in a soul sleepuntil the great white throne Judgment Day, and then they will be cast into the lake of fire. Only the second part of that statement is true. People will be cast into the lake of fire at the judgment because there are two hells.
Sounding the Alarm: Your Spiritual Wake-Up Call
I’m not sure about you, but in every season of my Christian walk, I have had to be reminded of my priorities. It usually happens gradually with just a slight shift here or there, but over time it’s easy to get busy and start spending less time in prayer and Bible study. We can all but stop doing what we should be doing. I for one have been guilty of losing focus and running around thinking about myself.
10 Reasons Our Pulpits Are Polluted
I was recently with a friend (whom I will leave nameless) who said his city is in such a mess because “the pulpits are polluted!” When he said this, I immediately began to think and pray about the implications and reasons for this strong statement. Upon reflection, I found his statement to be true based on conversations I have had with numerous leaders across the globe. The following are 10 reasons there is pollution in some pulpits today: 1. The pastor has an unholy union with politicians.
Overcoming Trials
God’s will does not automatically happen in the life of a Christian. All believers are in a real war. The Bible tells us we will have trials and encounter spiritual warfare in this lifetime. So how do we come through the difficulties we all face? Jesus said in John 16:33 (NKJV), “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
Greg Laurie Shares Powerful Words from Billy Graham
Pastor Greg Laurie has helped lead tens of thousands of people to the Christian faith, calling his decades in ministry a true “privilege.” “I can’t believe that God allowed me to do this and to be doing it for 35 years,” Laurie recently told CBN News.
Morning Rundown: Joni Lamb Shares About Finding Peace After Loss
Here’s a quick rundown of the top stories on mycharisma.com: Joni Lamb Shares About Finding Peace After Loss Marcus died in November of 2021, and our forty-year anniversary would have been the following August. We were married for over thirty-nine years and had dated for two years before that. I’d spent forty-one years with this person, and then, without warning, he was gone. It left an instant crater in my soul.
Jesus’ Secrets to Prosperity
Earlier this month we entered the 40 Day Jewish Teshuvah season of repentance. Many believe it was during the Teshuvah season that Jesus went to the desert for His 40-day time of testing. There are many lessons which can be learned from Jesus’ 40-day temptation. But with His answers to Satan’s three challenges, Jesus also taught us how to live by faith and prosper. You remember the story. Jesus had fasted for 40 days and was close to starving to death.
5 Reasons Why Hell Is Eternal
The most important reason why we know for certain that hell is eternal is because Jesus said it in Matthew 25:41 and 46. God the Father also said it is in Isaiah 34:10. Twenty-three other authors of the Bible wrote about hell as well. Fourteen of them said it was eternal. That list includes Job, Jonah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, David, Peter, Paul, Jude, John the Baptist, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Why Do Wicked People Prosper?
Does it seem that wicked people are the ones with most of the money and power? Think on this. Remember in the Bible when Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would bow down and worship him? Of course, Jesus rebuked him saying, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve” (Luke 4:8b, ESV). Satan gives wealth and power to anyone who will cooperate with his plans. The Bible reveals to us that there are at least three specific reasons wicked people prosper. 1.
UFO Stops When Called Out in the Name of Jesus
Are aliens real? That’s a question people have been asking for decades with many different theories floating around about their potential existence, and whether or not they may be demonic in nature. In a recent interview, L.A. Marzullli spoke to a man, Jeff, who caught an undeniably spooky scene on camera with a full array of what appears to be unusual lights fall from the sky in the shape of a disc. To pre-order L.A. Marzulli’s new book, “Rungs of Disclosure,” visit Amazon.com.
Murillo: Threat Against Trump’s Life Connected to Bigger, Dark Agenda
In a recent interview with Stephen Strang on the Strang Report, evangelist Mario Murillo discussed the spiritual implications surrounding the recent attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump. Murillo, known for his prophetic ministry and tent crusades, believes that this incident holds significant meaning for America’s current political and spiritual landscape.
Deceived by Demons
So many people believe that hell, Satan and demons are just a joke or fantasy. They base their belief on the lies they have heard taught by other deceived people or on their feelings. The Bible tells us Satan deceives unbelievers. Are you one of the deceived? Satan, who is the god of this world, “has blinded the minds of those who do not believe” (2 Cor. 4:4b).
How Many People Will Go to Hell?
Two people die every single second of every single day. How many of those people even believed hell was real? If you don’t believe it exists, how can you escape from it? Think of the people today who are trapped in false religions, convinced that there is no hell. Even people who think of themselves as Christians follow teachings that deny the existence of hell. Where will they all end up? — 2.2 billion Christians. — 1.6–1.9 billion Muslims. — 1 billion Hindus. — 500 million Buddhists.
Why Christians Don’t Tell People About Jesus
The great white throne judgment is where those who don’t know God will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. Knowing that should terrify all of us and motivate us to be more persuasive with men yet most people give no thought to telling people about Jesus. Are we worried we will offend people? Do we think we are underqualified? What other excuses do people have for not sharing the gospel message with a dying world?
Do We Need to Save the Earth?
Do you believe that the planet needs to be saved and that immediate, severe action must be taken? Many people are convinced that the change in weather is primarily due to people’s use of what they refer to as “destructive sources of energy.” Is that true? Will the planet really be destroyed without taking drastic measures? It’s arrogant to suggest that God needs our help in saving His Earth. We can look to the Bible to settle this highly controversial issue. Scripture reveals 10 things on this topic.
Warning: Fools Don’t Fear Hell
Jude 23a (BSB) states, “Save others, snatching them out of the fire.” The only way some people will turn to the Lord is by hearing a strong message about where they will end up if they don’t change. Telling them, “God loves you” means nothing to them and doesn’t cause them to think about their arrogant attitude. Jesus warned us about hell in 46 Bible verses. Many don’t believe in hell because they don’t believe Jesus is God. The Bible calls that person a fool in Psalm 14:1.
5 Lies About Hell
You may have heard that hell is just a temporary place where bad people go when they die before they are annihilated. Is this a true statement? There are a number of popular beliefs about hell, many not found in the Bible. What lies are you believing about hell? See if you have adopted any of those listed below. 1. Hell is temporary. Jesus said, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41b, author’s emphasis).
What Did Jesus Say About Hell?
Time magazine published an article on May 8, 2020, titled, “What Jesus Really Said About Heaven and Hell.” In it, the writer references Matthew 7:13b (NKJV), which reads, “wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction.” The writer of the article then explains that the word “destruction” means “annihilate,” thus explaining that the wrong path does not lead to eternal torture but annihilation.
