Deputies make 2 drug arrests - The Union-Recorder

Two Milledgeville men were arrested May 30 on drug charges, local authorities say. The suspects were identified as Fredrick Mario Woodruff, 54, of the 100 block of Misty Lane N.W., and George May, 66, of the 100 block of Princeton Drive, both of Milledgeville, according to an incident report filed by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Alex Rickey. Woodruff was charged with one count of Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act for possession of a Scheduled II drug.

Ribbon-cutting marks long-awaited opening of water park - The Union-Recorder

For several years, officials and residents have wanted a water park for locals of all ages to enjoy during the summer. Now, years later, the new Baldwin County Aquatic Center has officially opened. A grand opening ceremony, along with the traditional cutting of a blue ribbon, marked the occasion on Friday morning. The new aquatic center, which is also known as Splash Baldwin, is located next to the pickleball courts at the Walter B.
