Combinatorial effects of EPA and Bifidobacterium breve associated with autism: bioactive metabolites and molecular targets
Abstract Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Bifidobacterium breve strains have individually shown beneficial effects in neurodevelopmental disorders, but their combinatorial effects remain unclear. This study investigated whether B. breve strains metabolize EPA in vitro and explored their potential relevance to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Five B. breve strains were co-fermented with EPA. BB1 and BB2, but not other strains, exhibited EPA-metabolizing capabilities.
Polystyrene-associated pulmonary fibrosis: a summary based on the available evidence and prospects
Abstract Microplastics have become a pervasive component of the atmosphere and of indoor and occupational air, and the human respiratory tract is now recognized as a major and largely unavoidable route of exposure. Polystyrene, one of the most abundant commodity plastics, is a dominant model and real-world airborne microplastic, and mounting evidence links inhaled polystyrene microplastics (PS-MPs) to a spectrum of pulmonary injuries that increasingly implicate fibrogenesis.
Biallelic nonsense variants in GAS8 associated with asthenoteratozoospermia and PCD-like symptoms
Abstract We report a 28-year-old infertile male presenting with markedly reduced progressive sperm motility and severe morphological abnormalities (normal morphology rate: 1%), accompanied by primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD)-like symptoms, including chronic rhinitis, adolescent nasal polypectomy, and persistent rhinorrhea. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed ultrastructural defects involving the sperm head, nucleus, and flagellar axoneme.

A hybrid high activity aware framework integrating graph attention network and transformer for half maximal inhibitory concentration prediction
Abstract Introduction: Tyrosine kinase inhibitors targeting the c-KIT receptor are pivotal in the targeted therapy of malignancies such as gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). The bioactivity of these inhibitors is typically quantified by the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50), making its accurate prediction a critical computational task for accelerating the discovery and optimization of anticancer lead compounds.
Serum miRNA expression profile in responders to acupuncture treatment for diminished ovarian reserve: a study protocol for a nested case-control study
Abstract Objective: Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) leads to subfertility, infertility, and premature menopause, significantly compromising women’s reproductive health. Although clinical evidence supports the effectiveness of acupuncture in improving ovarian reserve, treatment responses vary considerably among DOR patients, and the factors associated with favorable outcomes remain unclear.

This multidisciplinary review synthesizes progress across the entire chain of green tide management, focusing on advances in monitoring and prediction.
An IHC-derived TLS–CD8–macrophage immune niche score predicts major pathological response to neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy in resectable NSCLC
Abstract Background: Neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy improves pathological response in resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but response remains heterogeneous. PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS) incompletely captures spatial immune contexture. We developed and cross-center validated an immunohistochemistry (IHC)-derived equal-weight immune niche score integrating tertiary lymphoid structure (TLS) maturity, CD8–TLS proximity, CD8/FOXP3 balance, CD163/CD68 ratio, and PD-L1 TPS.
FM-Mamba: end-to-end non-causal Mamba-based network for efficient flood mapping
Abstract Accurate, real-time flood mapping from synthetic aperture radar image is vital for disaster response but is hindered by a persistent trade-off between model accuracy and computational efficiency. This paper introduces FM-Mamba, a novel network that leverages a state space model to break this bottleneck.

Robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of giant pelvic solitary fibrous tumor: a case report with literature review
Abstract Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm with a low incidence, and pelvic SFT is extremely uncommon. Due to its insidious onset and nonspecific imaging features, preoperative diagnosis is difficult. We reported a 34-year-old male patient with a giant pelvic SFT found incidentally during physical examination, complicated with left hydronephrosis and hydroureter. Preoperative imaging revealed a large heterogeneous enhanced mass in the pelvic cavity.

Liu et al., 2025), aeration and oxygenation of lakes and reservoirs (Schladow, 1992; Wang et al., 2023; Wüest et al., 1992), controlling sediment transport and lateral density current (Bacot et al., 2022), and deterring aquatic species (Fritts et al., 2023; Zielinski & Sorensen, 2016), among other engineering uses.
Anchor-induced localized stress evolution and deformation prediction in SOI MEMS structures
Abstract Suspended structures in silicon-on-insulator (SOI) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) are critical components for sensing and actuation. However, undesired deformation in these structures significantly degrades device performance. Although such deformation is commonly attributed to compressive stress, the underlying mechanisms governing stress evolution and deformation remain unclear, limiting predictive capability and effective suppression strategies.
Effect of electron beam surface melting on the microstructure and corrosion behavior of Ti-4Al-4Zr-2Sn-1.5Mo-Nb-V alloy
Abstract Improving the corrosion resistance of titanium alloys is essential for their long-term performance in marine environments. This study investigates the effect of electron beam surface melting (EBSM) on the microstructure and corrosion behavior of a Ti-4Al-4Zr-2Sn-1.5Mo-Nb-V alloy. The EBSM induces the formation of a refined Widmanstätten microstructure, primarily composed of α′ martensite and residual β phase, due to the rapid solidification.

Modeling the Dissolution and Transport of Bubbles Emitted From Hydrocarbon Seeps Within the Hydrate Stability Zone of the Oceans
1 Introduction Natural seeps of hydrocarbon gases are ubiquitous on the continental slopes and margins (Ruppel & Kessler, 2017; Ruppel et al., 2024). Natural seeps represent an important source of methane to the ocean water column and are derived from both biogenic and thermogenic sources. Water column backscatter data from multibeam echo sounders is becoming a powerful tool to identify natural seeps and is the most common method for observing natural seeps (Römer et al., 2012).
