Gouty arthritis model: delving into disease pathways and uncovering possible therapeutic targets
Abstract Gouty arthritis (GA) falls within the category of metabolic arthropathies. Its onset stems from abnormal uric acid metabolism, which subsequently leads to the deposition of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals and ultimately triggers a robust inflammatory response. Currently, the global prevalence rate of GA is on the rise, gradually increasing the societal disease burden it imposes. This review comprehensively examines the pathogenesis of GA.
Passivating pinholes for large-area and high-efficiency silicon solar cells with tunnel oxide passivated contact
Abstract The tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) solar cell is poised to dominate silicon photovoltaics, yet the atomic-scale nature of pinholes—local disruptions in the SiOx layer enabling direct conduction—remains unresolved despite its critical importance for device performance.

Animal Models of Lupus Nephritis: Current Status and Future Perspectives
1 Introduction Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a classic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation and immune-mediated damage to multiple organ systems, including the cutaneous mucous membranes, musculoskeletal, hematologic, and renal systems [1]. Lupus nephritis (LN) is one of the more serious and common complications of SLE. While SLE and LN share overlapping clinical manifestations, they also exhibit significant differences.

Exploring the inflammatory origins of gouty arthritis: mechanistic studies based on local lesion proteomics and validation
Abstract Background: The exact pathogenesis of gouty arthritis (GA) is unclear. However, it is believed that GA is characterized by recurrent episodes and a self-limiting nature. During episodes, the disease primarily manifests locally, making local omics research particularly relevant.

Oxygen-evolving catalytic atoms on metal carbides
Abstract Single-atom catalysts have shown promising performance in various catalytic reactions. Catalytic metal sites supported on oxides or carbonaceous materials are usually strongly coordinated by oxygen or heteroatoms, which naturally affects their electronic environment and consequently their catalytic activity.
Selective Nucleation and Targeted Deposition Effect of Lithium in Lithium-Metal Host Anode
Selective Nucleation and Targeted Deposition Effect of Lithium in Lithium-Metal Host Anode The uncontrollable lithium (Li) nucleation and growth on Li-anode surface is considered as the main reason for the raid failure of Li-metal batteries. However, the underlying mechanism is still poorly understood.
