1. Introduction Depression is a widespread mental health disorder that impacts a massive number of people around the globe [1], causing severe problems for both individual happiness and the health of society as a whole. Despite its high prevalence, depression often goes undiagnosed and untreated and could even lead to suicide, mainly due to the negative social perception of mental health problems and the lack of accessible diagnostic tools [2].
