In this meta-analysis we investigated the safety and efficacy of BA compared to placebo. 11 RCT, encompassing 18,315 patients, were included. Our results can be summarized as follows: BA is associated with a substantial and stable in time reduction of LDL-C, total cholesterol, non-HDL-C, Apo-B and hs-CRP as compared to placebo.
