ABSTRACT Ethnic inequalities remain persistent in education systems across Europe, despite various policy actions designed to tackle the issue. Often overlooked, however, are the grassroots strategies developed by minoritised communities themselves, such as Community-Based Educational Initiatives (CBEIs). These bottom-up learning environments aim to support minoritised youth both academically and in affirming their ethnic-cultural identity.
