Bradley Geiser’s Biography

I am a recent UC Davis graduate (B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing, minor in both education and professional writing) with a passion for writing. Over the last five years, I have developed a diverse writing portfolio which includes everything from sports blogging, to newspaper, to promotional material, creative works, longform essays, and even the instruction manual for a Shakespeare-themed video game called Play the Knave. I take every product as a new challenge and do not believe in staying inside my comfort zone. One of the joys of writing is taking each opportunity as a learning opportunity and a chance to add to my own skill set.

A lifelong learner, I used school as an opportunity not only to make the grades needed to pass the test, but to gain valuable skills which could be learned far beyond my graduation. I made sure to visit professors as often as possible and ensure that I was getting the absolute best out of my situation, and asked them questions pertaining to my professional career. As such, I gained skills in both creative and analytical writing, learned how to operate under even the strictest deadlines, and learned the importance of learning my strengths in order to make each composition the bast that it could be. Returning to school was an important step in my personal and professional career.

When I am not working, my passions include watching basketball, reading a good book, watching a good movie, and of course writing about all of it. My dream is to eventually learn from all of this—the professional experience, the education, and the extracurricular passions—to become the best writer that I can be and use it to the best of my ability.
