When I hear Wyoming voters refer to Liz Cheney as a traitor, my sphincter tightens. The only possible conclusion is that those people are just Phukenutz. To any sane individual, Ms. Cheney is a Republican’s Republican. If you look up Conservatism in America, you might even find her picture. Wyoming is a microcosm of the topsy turvy, bizzaro MAGA world, where lies are truth and truth is lies.

By performing the duties of Vice President of the United States on January 6, 2021, Mike Pence managed to stave off the immediate demise of American democracy. It remains to be seen how long freedom can withstand assault from the party modeling their policies on those of Viktor Orban. Whether or not Pence did anything heroic is for you to decide.

Nicolle Wallace is my favorite ex-Republican, more than even Joe Scarborough and Michael Steele. She’s obviously a lot easier on the eyes than Scarborough. Wallace nicely commands a 2-hour, mid-afternoon slot on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House. Her questions are sincere, both intellectually and emotionally and she is clearly someone who’s been let down by a party that genuflects at the feet of a self-anointed autocrat.
