LPGA legend Jan Stephenson, who earlier this month was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, will be at Forsgate Country Club on July 20 to participate in a day that includes a golf clinic, tournament on the historic Banks Course, and a cocktail reception and tasting of Jan’s signature wines and rums. The club in Monroe Township is offering non-members a limited number of playing spots in the tournament, as well as the reception only, and reservations are now being accepted.

Ben Gross could not have planned out his first year after graduating from Princeton University much better than the way it worked out. Last June, Gross was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 34th round of the Major League Baseball Draft after a season at Princeton where he was a second team All-Ivy selection.

Once Carla Burube was finished with her successful basketball playing career at the University of Connecticut, her initial thoughts didn’t turn to coaching. But it didn’t take long for Berube to realize just how much she missed the game and wanted to still be a part of it. “If you ask my college coach, he can’t believe I became a coach,” said Berube, who played for the legendary Gene Auriemma at UConn. “I was really shy and quiet throughout college.
