My first writing gig was putting together game guides for OffGamers.

Yeah. All my college assignments had to be either handwritten or typed out with a typewriter.

Kids are "verifying" the news they read by reading the comments below a news post.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means writing with earnestness.

Because I love video games, both as my preferred entertainment medium and as an art form.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The biggest misperception is that the video games industry is smaller than TV or movies.
