Food marketers often include redundant food product labels with robust success. Building on Wilson and Lusk (2020) and Nagy et al. (2024), we define “redundant” food labels as marketing claims or certifications that reiterate product attributes already conveyed. These claims can be explicitly on the package, inherent to the product, or implicit through regulation.

The increasing digitization of agribusiness has brought unprecedented efficiency and connectivity to supply chains, but it has also introduced a growing and often underestimated threat: cyberattacks. The recent rise in ransomware incidents, data breaches and supply chain disruptions highlights an urgent need for agribusinesses to take cybersecurity seriously.
