1 Introduction The main characteristic of invasive plant species is their enhanced competitive ability relative to native plants (Vilà and Weiner 2004; Van Kleunen et al. 2010). As a result, in communities invaded by such plants, native species richness and diversity often decline due to competitive exclusion (Hejda et al. 2009; Czarniecka-Wiera et al. 2019). Nevertheless, some native plants are capable of coexisting with invaders (Strauss et al. 2006; Leger and Espeland 2010).

This article investigates financial capabilities and the role of conversion factors in the financial situation of segregated Roma families. We examine how these strategies are linked to stigmatisation and spatial segregation, pushing forward existing theories on financial capabilities of segregated Roma people.
