Have you ever used a typewriter?

I wish to. I've never been able to buy one but I hope to get my hands on one soon! A typewriter is tangible, old school, and beautiful.

What's your favorite social network?

Let's say I don't have a favorite. It's a double-edged sword — you're never good enough on social media and that's exhausting.

Why did you become a journalist?

It's not the most original answer but I'm all for transparency. I wanted to change the world (and psst...I hoped that I'll be remembered).

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Constant vigilance! Really, it's important to be resilient and remind yourself that this is your dream. You're here for a reason.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That it's easy to cover topics such as health or food. No, you have to find innovative ways to connect with your reader all the time.
