Kaitlyn Bracken is a 2013 magna cum laude graduate from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, a program ranked 13th worldwide. Majoring in Public Relations & Advertising, Kaitlyn minored in print journalism and served as a reporter and assistant editor for the Panther, a state and nationally recognized student newspaper. She also a freelances for the Orange County Register, the 5th largest newspaper in California, and contributes to various blogs.
In 2011, Kaitlyn began working for Patrician Company, an event planning firm, as the public relations coordinator. After success in gaining media exposure for clients/events, Patrician launched an official public relations branch, Pitch by Patrician. Kaitlyn has successfully landed clients' coverage on outlets such as Yahoo! News, USA Today, and Examiner.com.
As an intern with Terry Hines & Associates, Kaitlyn gained experience in publicity, promotions, and marketing, working with film studios such as Warner Bros., Dreamworks, Lionsgate, and Disney. During that time she began working for DOM Music Library, a production house and studio, where she was a music marketing representative, and later promoted to marketing director in 2012.
At Chapman University, Kaitlyn was a meber of Gamma Beta Phi Society (National Honors/Service Society) and a founding member/Presidential awarded member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She was also a co-host for Chapman Radio, which was voted the number one online college station.
With a strong passion for communications and writing, Kaitlyn was also a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and is competing in the 2012-2013 Bateman Competition, the most prestigious PR competition in the nation. With an appreciation for worldly cultures and travel, Kaitlyn has visited more than 15 countries and spent a semester in London studying journalism at City University, one of the U.K.'s most recognized journalism schools.
