An e-bike rider was killed in a crash in Santa Ana Tuesday night, Aug. 11, in what was the second crash involving an e-bike in the past two days, authorities said. Santa Ana police were called to the area of Santiago Street and Santa Ana Boulevard about 6 p.m. and found a 44-year-old man riding an e-bike had been hit by a Mercedes sedan, police spokeswoman Officer Natalie Garcia said. The rider, Robert Pilgrim, was taken to a hospital, but died, Garcia said.
