Texas is a warning America can't ignore
Original Article Posted By: JoElla Bee, 9/23/2026 11:02:40 PM America has a choice to make before the choice is made for us. We can decide now that the Constitution is the final authority in this country - or we can wait until competing systems of authority become so deeply established that reclaiming that principle becomes far more difficult. This isn't hypothetical. It is already a subject of congressional hearings, state investigations and public debate.
Sharia law vs. the US Constitution: Texas is a warning America can't ignore

The world finally noticed Nigeria's persecuted Christians. Why hasn't anything changed?
By , Op-ed contributor | For years, those of us working alongside persecuted Christians in Northern Nigeria have been pleading with the world to take notice. We asked for governments to pay attention. We asked for international organizations to speak up. We asked for journalists to report on attacks that too often passed with little notice outside the villages where they occurred.

The calendar says ‘peace.’ Northern Nigeria says otherwise.
August is a big month for peace. At least on the calendar. The “world” (loosely defined, if defined at all) collectively recognizes August as “International Peace Month.” This observation originated in August 1926 at the Fifth International Democratic Peace Conference in France, following the devastation of World War I. It was enacted to reflect on peace efforts and actively work to prevent future conflicts.

Freedom At Home, Persecution Abroad
As fireworks light the sky this Fourth of July, Americans will celebrate 250 years of independence — two and a half centuries since a bold experiment in liberty took root on this continent. We will gather with family, fly our flags and reflect on the freedoms we often take for granted: the freedom to speak, to worship, to assemble and to live according to our convictions.
Why Nigerian widows are gathering in an abandoned chicken coop
By , Op-ed contributor | In a quiet corner of Northern Nigeria, a group of women gathers each week in a place no one would mistake for sacred: a cleaned-out chicken coop. The structure is humble, the conditions far from ideal. And yet, within those walls, something remarkable is happening. Widows — women who have lost their husbands to the brutal ongoing violence — come together to pray, to weep, to encourage one another, and to begin the long, painful work of rebuilding their lives.

Silence in the Face of Slaughter: The Crisis in Northern Nigeria
By Brad Brandon The conditions in northern Nigeria have deteriorated significantly over the past six months. Attacks have increased dramatically — it feels as though massacres have become a daily occurrence. I recently spoke at a burial for eight people who were killed in a single night. The very next day, another 30 people were murdered in a separate attack. A few days later, 20 more lost their lives. It has become almost impossible to keep up with the scale and frequency of the violence.

Sharia law fuels Jihadist terror in Nigeria - is America next?
Over the last few months, I’ve been increasingly vocal about the rise of radical Islam in the U.S. As a result, the Left has predictably lost their minds—calling me a “racist” and an “Islamophobe.” The truth is, I’m an American, and I care about the safety of our country. I’m not afraid of Chuck Schumer calling me names. What I am afraid of is losing the greatest country on earth to radical Islam.

On today’s program: Casey Harper, Managing Editor for Broadcast at The Washington Stand and Host of the “Outstanding” podcast, covers the recent Ukraine-Russia negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the generous $6.25 billion donation by tech giants to savings accounts for U.S. children, a troubling survey on college students’ perceptions of speech, and the latest violence against Nigerian Christians.
How Should the Church Respond to Persecution?
Globally, Christians face an unprecedented surge in persecution. Over the last decade, violence and oppression targeting Christians have reached heights not seen in recent history. Last year alone, 380 million Christians encountered what Open Doors describes as “high levels” of persecution, involving violence, attacks on property, and displacement — 15 million more than the previous year, marking the highest figure ever recorded.
Trump's 'Save the Christians' Battle Cry: It Is Heroic, but Dodges Nigeria's Deeper Divisions
In Nigeria, death and destruction show no signs of stopping. Persecution of Christians is now endemic, especially in the north, where anti-Christian violence has hit record highs. Since 2009, over 50,000 Christians have been killed by groups like Boko Haram, ISWA, and Fulani militants. In the past decade, some 18,000 churches have been destroyed. I've walked through too many charred ruins that were once places of worship. What was a peaceful region has become a landscape of death.
How Can The World Still Deny Nigeria’s Christian Genocide?
— Opinion — The genocide is real. It is calculated. And it’s been going on for a long time. The Christian genocide happening in Nigeria has finally started to come to light. After 10 years of working amid the violence, I have never seen more attention drawn to this crisis than right now. Recently, the media, government, and religious institutions seem to be waking up and finally getting the message that there is a systematic targeting of Christians in Nigeria, particularly in the Northern regions.
Washington, Lincoln, and Now Trump: The Presidents Who Dared to Call America to Prayer
It’s easy to think that the American colonists were united during the Revolutionary War. Nothing could be further from the truth. Many colonists hated British control but vehemently opposed the idea of war. Among those was a Quaker named Isaac Potts. He was an outspoken critic of the Continental Army and the Revolutionary War. As Potts surveyed his estate near Valley Forge, he was enraged to find patriot soldiers camped on his property. He searched for officers so he could file an official complaint.
Bill Maher Exposes Nigeria’s Christian Genocide In 47 Seconds
— News and Commentary — "If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources suck. You are in a bubble," said Maher. Political satirist and self-described liberal, Bill Maher, long an outspoken critic of Christianity, recently caused a firestorm when he put a searing spotlight on the mass murders of Christians in Nigeria, where more Christians are killed than anywhere else in the world.
Why Christians And Jews Are Facing A New Wave Of Hostility
— News and Commentary — Religious persecution has risen sharply worldwide. • Sep 14, 2025 DailyWire.com • Our nation just witnessed the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk, who was not only a leading voice for conservatives but was a bold believer and passionate advocate for faith in Jesus Christ and a Christian worldview. It’s been barely two weeks since a mentally ill individual terrorized the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, killing two children and injuring 18 others.
Left’s Dripping Disdain for Faith Mocks Mourners, Widens ‘God Gap’
The battle for the soul of America, once waged subversively, is now being fought out in the open for all to see. The Democratic Party and the Left’s response to the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting highlights their shifting stance on faith and what really matters in America.
Why The Latest U.S. Arms Deal With Nigeria Will Only Fuel More Violence
— Opinion — As quickly as the U.S. sends money and arms, the resources are often diverted from their intended destination. As conditions in northern Nigeria continue to deteriorate, the U.S. State Department inexplicably approved a potential sale of $346 million in arms to the Nigerian military. The multimillion-dollar deal comes as northern Nigeria further descends into violent turmoil as killings, kidnappings, and raids continue to destabilize communities throughout the region.
The Global Rise Of Sharia Law And Mamdani’s ‘Intifada’ Silence
— Opinion — Is Sharia Law coming to a state near you? • Jul 11, 2025 DailyWire.com • New York City is not only poised to have its first Muslim mayor but also its first mayor who blatantly refuses to condemn the widely used motto “Globalize the Intifada.” When asked three times on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Ugandan-born, democratic socialist assemblyman from Queens, Zohran Mamdani, refused to condemn the appalling call for violence.
The Silent Slaughter: Inside Nigeria’s Christian Persecution Crisis
— Opinion — In 2023, I witnessed Nigerian soldiers walk off the job when ordered to fight Boko Haram militants. Over the past 10 years, Northern Nigeria has quickly risen to the top of the list as the most dangerous place to be a Christian. More Christians are killed here than anywhere else in the world. The data show us that it’s not by slim margins. According to International Christian Concern, in 2022, 90% of all Christians killed in the world were killed in Nigeria.
Nigeria is a killing field, and Christians are the prey
By , Op-ed contributor There is no question that persecution against Christians is on the rise worldwide. One can hardly watch the news or scroll through social media without hearing another story of Christians being discriminated against for their faith. But what is happening goes far beyond mere discrimination. The data tells us that more and more Christians around the world are facing threats of violence. Last year, 380 million Christians around the world faced “high levels” of persecution.
