Have you ever used a typewriter?
I have, and the novelty of it was destroyed by my inability to type anything correctly the first time.
How is social media changing news?
News travels faster now, so I think that makes it all the more important to have facts triple-checked before publishing.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
It hasn't happened yet, but I want an editor to yell at me like J. Jonah Jameson and ask for more stories on Spider-Man.
What's your favorite social network?
Seems like a trick question.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I never wrote for my high school newspaper, but I did cover a PTA meeting in the 6th grade for a paper that never happened.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I do not recall a time when I've been away from the computer.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Collider is fantastic, and I also enjoy Vulture and The Hollywood Reporter.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I think the genre of horror gets a bad rep for being low-brow, and it actually has a long history of providing social commentary.
