A blockbuster trade on Sunday saw the Cincinnati Reds send star pitcher Sonny Gray and pitching prospect Francis Peguero to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Petty. The 18-year-old righthander from Linwood was drafted 26th overall by the Twins in 2021, and was ranked as the seventh best prospect in Minnesota’s farm system by MLB.com.
