A content producer for Youth.SG (now known as Youthopia.SG)

Nope, fully digital.

Social media has greatly changed the speed at which we consume the news.

Andrea Sachs
What does it mean to be a journalist?
A journalist has to be objective and the voice of reason for the masses.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer a quick lead and a nutgraf.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Word document, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premiere Pro.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love storytelling – being able to help someone who is struggling during a difficult time using written, video and photography work.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked on my Diploma's student magazine, CATCH, as the editor-in-chief
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I enjoyed working on a story about men who love makeup and digging deeper into the reason behind it while tackling the stigmas of the topic.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Keep up the rigour and keep your chin up.
When's the best time to pitch you?
First thing in the morning.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I received a pitch from a PR professional to cover National athletes.
What's your favorite drink?
Iced coffee
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Shooting videos for a YouTube channel based in creativity and fashion.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love reading American Vogue, The New Yorker, and The New York Times
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That we have to have perfect skin.
