4. Discussion Our results showed that the measurement of OH-PAHs in urine has the potential to be used for the assessment of INHI progression and the determination of its grade. So far, no studies have investigated toxic compounds such as PAHs and their effect directly on INHI progression. Additionally, there is a lack of information about the toxic compounds in patients with INHI in general, even though it is likely that the toxic compounds can strongly influence the severity of the INHI [19].
