FOX 10 meteorologist Krystal Ortiz is no stranger to The Valley. And that's a good thing, since her first day on the air coincided with monsoon storms kicking into high gear around Arizona. Krystal grew up in Gilbert, and while attending Highland High School she realized math and science were her strongest subjects. And on top of that, she loved weather. But not just any weather, she was fascinated by the monsoon and went on to study meteorology at Arizona State University.

And since she's tough to keep up with (Keep reading and you'll know why), let's not waste any more time and get to know Ellen McNamara. Ellen was born in Chicago and grew up in Colorado and Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in political science and a minor in Spanish. She honed her journalism skills in Kansas City, Minneapolis, Tampa, Austin and Lubbock.

John Hook and Christina Carilla PHOENIX - Christina Carilla is no stranger to taking center stage. "I grew up performing. I’ve always been passionate about it." So, it should come as no surprise she now shares the spotlight with long-time, Valley favorite John Hook, anchoring FOX 10 evening news every weeknight. But it takes more than stage presence to report and anchor the evening news. Christina studied broadcasting, media studies and production at Temple University.
