The Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis was the place to be for rock fans on September 22 as The Pretty Reckless brought their Dear God tour to town. The historic venue provided the perfect setting for an evening built around loud guitars, dark songs and the unmistakable presence of frontwoman Taylor Momsen. Opening the night was MAXILLA, who delivered a short but hard-hitting nine-song set.

Twenty-five years can change a lot, but some songs never really leave you. That was evident recently at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville as Staind celebrated the 25th anniversary of Break the Cycle with a lineup that felt like a trip through the early 2000s rock scene. Hinder, Hoobastank and Seether joined Staind for a night filled with familiar songs, big guitar sounds and a crowd that clearly remembered every word. Hinder opened the night with a tight 35-minute set.

Blink-182 brought their Missionary Impossible tour through Noblesville at Ruoff last night and brought with them Alkaline Trio, Drug Church and tons of stupid and fun teen humor. Millennial and late Gen X parents came out to take a trip back to the beginning of the decade, and many brought a new generation with them to show why “music used to be better.” Drug Church was the opening act and tore through their set with raw energy and unfiltered grit.
