There’s no shortage of fancy drink-making at Jay Hiltz’s Soberish Mocktail Shoppe. But you won’t see alcohol added to the shaker. He says the alcohol-free drink trend is driven by health concerns, lifestyle changes and folks wanting “to meet more sober people.” Customers and cooks, dishwashers and boardwalk gawkers showed up to see Salty’s restaurant knocked down this week. The eatery—which began as Clipper Cay in the 1980s—was a waterfront fixture.
