The deadline “for fullest consideration” for the position of next president of Seton Hall University was Nov. 22, the first day of Thanksgiving Break, according to the school’s presidential search webpage. However, the search committee has not yet released an update on the status of the search process.

Students will be more involved this year with the commencement planning process than ever before, due in part to the formation of the student commencement committee. Bernadette McVey, director of academic events, initiatives and planning and co-chair of the Commencement Planning Committee, said that she decided to form the committee so that the University could get input directly from graduating seniors about what they hope to experience at the 2018 Commencement Ceremony.

The 2018 Baccalaureate Commencement Ceremony will take place at the Prudential Center, according to an announcement from the Office of the Provost on Oct. 16. The email, which was sent to the University community, said that commencement will take place on Monday, May 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the Prudential Center in Newark, despite having taken place at the PNC Bank Arts Center last year due to booking complications.
