Update: National Freight has agreed to a $5.75 million settlement to resolve a nearly 10-year-old class action in which truckers claimed they were misclassified as independent contractors under New Jersey law. The class, certified in 2020, includes about 119 truckers who alleged National Freight illegally withheld wages through improper deductions from their pay.

Update: A California federal judge dismissed a class action lawsuit filed against Jelly Belly over claims it sent unlawful telemarketing messages. The complaint was dismissed with prejudice in March 2021. The Jelly Belly class action argued the company sent the telemarketing messages to consumers without their consent in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. A consumer originally filed the class action lawsuit in September 2019.
