Today, Netflix is being nominated at the Emmys or working with the most innovative directors, all because they had the early vision to create original content. It’s powered our binge and we can’t go back.

The Haunting of Hill House review: More terror in truth than monsters
True to its name, Hill House from Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House is haunted. More importantly, though, so are its residents. We know from the first moments of this meticulous, thoughtful drama that the tortured members of the Crain family cling to their traumas the same way the Hill House ghosts cling to them. The Haunting of Hill House proved to be that rare, beautiful kind of story that sticks to the ribs.
31 best Halloween movies and shows on Netflix
I live for Halloween. It’s the one time of year where you’re allowed to spook and be spooked without someone calling you a freak. So naturally, I spend the whole month of October prepping for the fright fest of Oct. 31. And what better to help me get in the mood for some scares than a themed binge? Thankfully, Netflix has my back. The streaming service has a pretty sizeable collection of Halloween-appropriate TV series and movies.
New on Netflix this week: Maniac, Nappily Ever After and more
There’s a lot to look forward to this week. The total number of new releases may be smaller than other weeks, but what’s dropping should prove to be of excellent quality. On the Netflix originals front, there are two standouts I’m really looking forward to. The first is the much-hyped miniseries Maniac. Actors Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are reunited once more here, this time starring as participants in a drug trial.
5 reasons Ozark season 2 is better than season 1
In case you missed the massively important news, Ozark season 2 dropped on Netflix today. Fans of the series (myself included) have had to wait a long time for this. The first season came out over a year ago and the finale seemed to leave us with way more questions than answers. Since the first installment was so good, the question begged to be asked: could Ozark season 2 keep up such an intense pace? Could it continue to surprise us, please us, and keep us itching for the next binge-worthy episode?

What time is Ozark season 2 added to Netflix in my time zone?
New on Netflix: 20 best movies on Netflix to watch in September by Reed Gaudens When Ozark first dropped on Netflix last year, it dealt in high-intensity action that simply didn’t let up. Any crazy little thing you could think of happened right there on our TV screens, from kids wielding shotguns to fathers almost murdering their babies. At times, the series was outright difficult to watch. So naturally, such a dramatic show would of course end on a bit of a cliffhanger.
The cast of Mad Men: Where are they now?
It’s hard to believe that Mad Men has been off the air for over three years now. What started back in July of 2007 as a concentrated study of 1960s Madison Avenue advertising execs blossomed into a complex look into the bonds of marriage, the pressures of the American workplace and the rise of modern feminism. For a show that was set nearly fifty years before its premiere, Mad Men was truly ahead of its time. And, boy, was it seriously addictive. Naturally, this series received instant acclaim.

Netflix recommendations: Love season 3 is our pick of the week
Romances are almost never the smooth, easy ride that the movies paint relationships out to be. Netflix’s Original comedy series Love really nails all the weirdness and greatness of real-life dating, rather than falling into the tired and superficial tropes of many of its fellow romantic comedies. Love has always been an underrated gem and its third installment seems just as worthy of your time as the previous two seasons.

When it comes to their Christmas cookies, people get crazy. Everyone has an opinion on which flavor profile is the best and consequently we all often end up with plate after plate of cookies from friends and neighbors when the holidays roll around. Here’s our list of 30 Christmas cookies (they’re all great, but can’t all be winners) ranked from most lackluster to mind-blowingly delicious.
30 Halloween candies ranked from delicious to Almond Joys
As with haunted houses, spooky home décor, and teenaged girls scampering about wearing oversized sweaters and drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes, candy is a part of the sacred Halloween tradition. Grocery stores have started selling the goods earlier and earlier each year, and it’s not uncommon to go through your whole stash before any pint-sized Elsas or Iron Mans have shown up at your door.

Game of Thrones: Ranking every episode through 7 seasons
It’s a nearly impossible task to weigh action against artistry, or even to bother taking fan favorite scenes into account. The show is so consistently good that it’s actually painful to try to call any one episode wholly bad. With all that being said, some episodes are definitely weaker than others. Alternately, certain key moments stand out as genre-defining television. Consequently, it’s usually just those really good middle-of-the-pack episodes that are hardest to sort out.
