Britt Stephens’s Biography

Britt Stephens is a writer, editor, and creative content strategist most recently serving as Entertainment Director at leading women's digital media brand POPSUGAR. She has over a decade of editorial, project management, and managerial experience under her belt.

Britt is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and has always harbored a healthy obsession with pop culture. She began at PS in 2010 as an editorial assistant covering fashion shows, red carpet events, and celebrity style news; later, you could find her waking up before dawn to cover the royal family, binge-watching true crime documentaries, and giving unsolicited music recommendations in her regular column, ‘What I’m Listening to This Week.’ She also hosted a weekly Instagram pop culture series called 'The Britt List,’ and can moderate a mean panel.

Britt is a seasoned storyteller dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities. During her time at PS, she created an Editorial Diversity Committee to ensure that all content was inclusive, intentional, and directed at a diverse audience. In 2018, Britt spearheaded the brand's first-ever Black History Month content hub, and in 2019, developed We Out Here, a dedicated content hub celebrating Black women+. She has a proven ability to create compelling campaigns and tell impactful stories with truth and compassion.

These days, you can find her freelancing, playing The Sims, and writing the sporadic newsletter Long Story Short.
