Day 128 – Arrival of my Parents Woah boy last night got a bit chilly and windy! I didn’t have the greatest patch of ground to set up my tent last night so my pitch wasn’t great, although not terrible, but that meant it was flapping around quite a bit in the wind when I woke up this morning. The not so dynamic duo of shooter and I kicked off a little after 7:30 and hit the trail. The trail began relatively moderate until we emerged from the stunted evergreen Forest and out into rocky scrubland.

We got the rolling by 7:30am and started our long, physically demanding climb up into the White Mountains again. Started with the 2800 ft climb over 3 miles. While not technically difficult, it was physically demanding and even with it being a cool morning, the sweat was pouring. 90% of the way up I stopped at Liberty Springs tent site to fill up on water as that was the last water source for nearly 10 miles.
