INTRODUCTION Bacterial extracellular polysaccharides (EPSs) are a common structural feature of many bacterial species. Among these, capsular polysaccharides (CPSs or capsule) are prominent exopolysaccharides that collectively form a protective layer on the surface of many bacterial pathogens. Many members of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative groups are potent producers of CPS.

ABSTRACT Background People with aphasia are at increased risk of developing anxiety and depression. There is a need for accessible psychological interventions to be evaluated for this clinical group. Relaxation is a promising treatment option. Aims This case series study aimed to assess the feasibility of the “Kalmer” relaxation intervention.
