Social Media is changing the nature of breaking news, and driving a shift toward being fast. Sadly, at times, that's at the cost of accuracy.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Michael Cobb. Which is sort of a cheating answer, because he's the protagonist in a book I wrote called Lost at the Con.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use the voice recorder on my iPhone to record in person interviews. and the TapeACall app to record phone interviews.
Why did you become a journalist?

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did write for my high school newspaper. I covered politics, wrote editorials, and sold ads. I got into a lot of trouble.
