After a brutal last few days with a ton of heat alerts we are finally done with them! There are no longer heat alerts out for our area! That doesn't mean it won't be hot & muggy, but we won't be dealing with the "dangerous" heat that we saw this last week. Instead, now that we have broke down that heat dome that plagued us all last week, we're settling into more of a rinse & repeat pattern for our area that we often see during the summer.

The last two weeks we had plenty of rain move through our area. That helped out a lot with keeping pollen counts fairly low and not allowing for too many allergy problems to come up. Well, our rain chances are a lot lower this upcoming week, so does that mean pollen is returning? You bet! Unfortunately what comes with nice weather and sunshine in our area this time of the year is high pollen and after last week it will be back on the rise this weekend and early this work week.

This time of year it isn't completely unheard of to hear to all types of weather and varying temperatures. Although, we typically associate Memorial Day weather with warm and muggy, also known as great weather for the opening of pools as many do this weekend. That's not quite the case this year and it doesn't always end up being warm and muggy. Here's a look at some of the craziest weather conditions we've seen in Louisville on Memorial Day in the past.
